TOPIC: RECOVERING THE LOST GLORY
(Haggai 2:6-9)

“And the bible says that the glory of the later rain shall be greater than the former.”

Man was clothed in glory in the beginning of creation, until when the enemy came and sow weed while men were asleep. Man lost the glory. When Israel lost the glory of God, the ark of the covenant which was their mantle was taken away, that same day, Eli died, that same day again the wife of Phenihas, the son of Eli named her child Icharbod meaning that the glory has departed from Israel. This glory is what we need to recover.

To recover this glory, we must go back to the theme of this 21 days program which is “Abiding in his Presence.”
The glory we are talking about is the breath of life which God breathed into man after creation.

The prodigal son left the presence of his father, he then suffered what those in absence of their father suffer. But when he came back to his senses, he returned to his father’s presence once again and started enjoying the beauty of his presence.

In this story, there are certain things the prodigal son did which are steps towards recovering the lost glory.

1. He accepted his mistake, he was sorry. We must learn to accept our mistakes and faults at all time each time we backside. Humble yourself.
2. He returned to his father. When you accept your mistakes, gather confidence to go back to God in the sacrament of reconciliation. God is ever merciful.
