Glorify God Through Your Service

If there’s a verse of the Scripture that shows how the people of God should carryout their daily works, it is 1 Peter 4:11.

This Scripture verse is so explicit concerning the manner of service that gives God glory. Read its content below:

“Whoever speaks [to the congregation], is to do so as one who speaks the oracles (utterances, the very words) of God.

Whoever serves [the congregation] is to do so as one who serves by the strength which God [abundantly] supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified [honored and magnified] through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

God loves the best! He demands the best! He does not want things to be done anyhow. He is not an ‘anyhow’ God. The Lord God is a Master strategist!

Therefore, When you’re out to serve Him, be thorough. Do it with all the abilities He has made available to you.

When you preach, speak His very words (speak as His oracle). This entails having deep knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and spending time with God both to know Him more and what He desires.

In every service or work we do, let it be exceptional! Anyone looking at them should see the hand of God in it all and, without compulsion, give glory to Him.

My Lord Jesus, make me a vessel unto honour. May I always bring glory to your name through my service. Amen!
