God’s word comes to us to give us life, to direct us, and to enable us to bear the peaceable fruits of righteousness.

The LORD has chosen each one of us in Christ and has commissioned us to be His Ambassadors in the present world. As Christ said, ‘you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill can not be hidden… Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to God’ (Matthew 5:14, 16).

What fruits am I called to bear then? These are acts of righteousness, good works of love and the life of Beatitude – winning souls for Christ, giving to the needy, soaring in the Holy Spirit.

Daily, I must keep growing in grace and in the knowledge of God, deepening myself in the love of God, knowing what is acceptable to Him and doing them.

My Lord Jesus, strengthen me to bear fruits in love, the kind of fruits that will last. Amen.
