Faith is essential in our walk with God. No great feat can be achieved in our spiritual exercise without it. The story below can buttress this fact.

George Ferdinand Muller was a Christian evangelist and Director of the Ashley’s Down Orphanage in Bristol, England. When he started the orphanage with his wife in 1836, he agreed with God that he will never make requests for financial support, or go into debt to take care of the children. Many times, he received unsolicited food donations only hours before they were needed to feed the children.

On one occasion, there was no food in the house. He gathered the children at the dining table and gave thanks for breakfast even though there was nothing to eat in the house. As they finished praying, they heard a bang at the gate. What happened? A cart that was fully loaded with bread and the one that was fully loaded with milk had what can be called a divine arranged accident in front of the orphanage. Both drivers walked into the orphanage and asked George Muller to come and take both the milk and bread for the children! (Taken from the book, Wonders of Faith by Ifeanyi Eze)

That is what faith can do! In today’s bible study, we will discuss among other things, what faith is, its relevance and how to access and increase it.

a) It is the assurance of the things hoped for.
b) Acting based on the Word of God.    c) Firm confidence in God and obedience to His words.
