Bread of Life Voice

EPH 5: 8-9— For you were sometimes darkness, but now, you are light in the Lord: walk as children of light. For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

The Scripture encourages us to behave as children of light. Our character should potray light. As Christian converts, we have given up our old life which depicts the works of darkness and moved over to the new life in christ which depicts light.

Christ is light himself and being created in his image and likeness, he has made us the light of the world, and the salt of the earth and so the unfruitful works of darkness should not be seen in us.

We are admonished to exhibit true christian character, and not to live a double standard life, to live a life of the spirit thereby revealing the fruits of light which are goodness, righteousness and truth. Light directs, light attracts, light creates awareness and as people who are living as light and living in the light of Christ should exhibit these characteristics.

The world is watching us, you don’t know who is looking up to you, as christians we are meant to redeem/convert others through our christian behaviour and bring them into the fold of Christ.

St Paul says, “that we may become the epistle that others read”. Let us reprove the works of darkness, and be that tool, that light which God will use to direct and attract people into his kingdom. Let us be magnet of souls for Christ through the light we posses in him, for we are the light of the world.
