Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi is a latin maxim that relates our belief to the way we worship. Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi literally means the law of prayer is the law of belief, that is ” the way we worship shows what we believe.”

The Latin maxim is often expanded to “lex orandi, lex credendi, lex vivendi” which means “the way we worship reflects what we believe and determines how we live.”

What does it all mean? The way we worship has a lot to say about us: It portrays and guards what we believe; It also guides us in how we live our Christian faith and fulfill our Christian mission in the world by manifesting the continuing presence of the Risen Jesus Christ.
