Text: PSALM 126:5-6
FOCUS: DESTROYING THE POWERS THAT ATTACK GOOD SEEDS.
INTRODUCTION:
Sowing is always not easy: requires labour, sacrifice, stress, commitment etc. It is the promise of God that those who sow in tears will reap with joy. That’s the desire of God for us. But that has not always been the case in this world that we live in today.
Many people have been Sowing in tears continually and still end up not reaping anything. Many are struggling in lives not because they are not sowing. They are sowing continuously, working very hard in their endeavors but earning very little to show for it.
Most believers have even end up tagging their predicament as a cross to bear. It’s not all suffering that’s is a cross. God is not a hard man that will want His children to keep suffering just to serve Him, there are reasons why the seeds we sow don’t grow and until we know this reason and dealt with it, we will continue to struggle in life.
REASONS WHY OUR SEEDS DON’T GROW
1. One of the reasons our seeds don’t grow is the quality of the seeds. Seeds have grades. Are you one of the best in what you do? Daniel:6:1-3, your quality stand you out from the crowd.
2. The second reason why our seeds don’t grow is because they are planted in bad soil. No matter how good a seed is, if it is planted in a bad soil, it will never have what it needs to grow. We should pray for divine direction from God. Genesis 26:1-3&12-14
3. Seed Eaters: When a seed is planted and not properly covered, animals and birds will pick it up. We are surrounded by people that are seed snatchers, they might be friends or family, such as Joseph Genesis 37: 19-20. We should keep our plans or ideas to ourselves until it starts manifesting just like Nehmaiah in Neh 2:11-18.
4. Spiritual Pests and Weeds: Nothing destroy a crop rapidly like pests and Weeds. These are agents of destruction. Likewise our endeavors. the strategy of the devil is to steal, kill and destroy. Most believers are struggling today and are stagnated becaus of spiritual pests and Weeds.
What gave this spiritual pests and Weeds access to our lives?
1. Sin and careless lifestyles. Joel 1: 5-7. Sin gives the devil a legal right into our lives.
2. Evil Foundation: Psalm11: 3
3. Spiritual sluggishness. Matthew 13:25
Conclusion:
Jesus emphatically said; pray and watch. Be wise in choosing the right seed. Peace be with you!!
