Intimacy With God (Part 1)
5 years ago Evangelical Ministry 2
“Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded” – (James 4:8)
Intimacy with God means the following:
1. To be a friend of Jesus.
2. To follow the footsteps of Christ and ready to bring men to altar of God.
3. To obey all God’s instruction i.e. to live in total obedience to his commandments.
The only condition for God to draw near to us is if we come close to him. Relationship can not exist unless there is closeness with communication.
For you to be a friend of Jesus, you must allow him to influence you. This influence requires a lot, it requires your whole life.
God must be the controller of your life. When you talk, Christ is seen in your talk; when you walk, Christ is seen in your walk, everything about you is Christ.
In the garden of Eden, Adam enjoyed the intimacy until there he sinned. God called him asking where he was. Adam answered another thing: I was naked.
This is just a question of tell God his location, but Adam gave an answer not relating to the question, telling God his problem instead.
The best place to be is in the presence of God. Sin separates us from God. It makes us leave Divine Presence.
In one way or the other, you might have derailed, gone astray, went off track. Today, God says, “Draw near to Me.”
To be continued…

Nothing can be compared as to have an intimate relationship with God.

God does not leave when we sin. It is us that leave His presence.
