Text: James 4:1-3

TO ROOT means to remove something that is not is not needed, harmful and of no good.Those bad habits that push us away from God.

1. GREED!
Lack of contentment, covetousness, eager to make it by all means.

GREED IS A FORM OF IDOLATRY which is common among the youths.

When you’re greedy, you’re bringing troubles upon your self. Just relax your mind, do your part and let God have his way and you’ll see God paving ways for you.

Don’t be too desperate to have all. Reject whatever that you know is inappropriate.

2. PRIDE

God has given us gifts to serve others, Don’t think you’re the best and all-knowing in every thing. Don’t be jealous when God is lifting another person .

Some ministers may ask others, DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM ? Dear child of God you’re just a clay in God’s hands ,for you to be Moulded into God’s own style.

Don’t be too familiar with God that you feel more holier than every other person.

Do you take corrections when being corrected?If NO, then you’re becoming arrogant.

Learn to obey your leaders . Leaders learn from Moses who though the Israelites were the reason why he couldn’t enter the promise land, yet he still cared to help them enter it. Imbibe humility in your work as a leader.

3. LIES
Lying has become very popular, that many lie during phone calls without knowing how it came out from their mouth, or sometimes deliberately.

Do your spouse still trust you? Or have you washed every atom of trust with lies?

The devil is the father of all liars.

4. UNFORGIVENESS
As a Christian you can’t run this race without forgiveness,it is a mandate from God, let go of past hurts and have your peace of mind.
