INTRODUCTION:
Acts 1:8 – But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you shall receive power and you will be witnesses for me in Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
The Spirit you received on the day of outpouring was to be a witness. In John 14:12 –
There are two distinct words in the topic (ready and work)
– Ready means to be prepared
– To work means put into use or action
To work with God means to yield or turn to a life of total dependence on God. The Spirit we receive is for us to be ready to function with God. Allowing him to decide for us. In working with God, the manifestation of those things we seek every day (signs, wonders, miracles, and physical blessings) becomes inevitable.
HOW CAN WE WORK WITH GOD?
1. Develop an intimate relationship with God
2. Studying the word of God daily
3. Constant Prayers
4. Yielding to the Holy Spirit totally
5. Fellowship with the Brethren
WAYS OF WORKING WITH GOD
1. Knowing the mind of God
2. Obeying God’s command (Joshua 1:8)
3. Bearing fruits (John 15:8)
4. Evangelical Work
5. Being committed to the call
6. Faithfulness in what you do
HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU’RE WORKING WITH GOD?
1. You expect nothing
2. You will be pleased once the work is done
3. You see a greater vision of small work
4. You have a consistent prayer and study life
5. You view your team members as brothers and sisters
6. You are happy even when you are exhausted
BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH GOD
1. The work becomes easier when you work with God – this is because God is in charge of the task he entrusted to you
2. God will always reveal things to you whether positive or negative
3. God will fight your battle associated with the work
4. You will inherit the kingdom of God
