I Cor 10:31

“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (NKJV).

Meditation

Because we have been purchased by the blood of Jesus and made the people of God, we must be careful the way we live our lives.

Henceforth, everything we do must be to please God. It must be to give glory to His name. Our works should be a pointer to others that there is God.

If I am a Lecturer, I must teach in such a way that my students will encounter Christ through me and seek conversion, even without me mentioning the name of Jesus.

Likewise other profession, we must adhere to high moral standard and to the demands of our professional ethics.

This is only possible if we are careful to ensure that any act we exhibit is good and acceptable and worthy of honour both in secret and in open.

Saint Paul in Colossians 3:17 said, “and whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” May the Lord be blessed by our conducts. Amen.

Prayers

+ Dear Lord, abide with me in my daily works. May they be excellent and pleasing to you. May your name be glorified in everything I do.
+ Father, I shun activities that are shameful and can destroy my reputation when known.
+ I commit to upright living, O Lord. Help me not to falter. Amen.
