Imitate God As His Worthy Children (Seminar 8: Day 2)

Read: Ephesians 5:1-20
The book of Ephesians chapter 5 opens with these words: “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.” In this world where a lot of models have sprung up, many dirty and immoral, we must be careful whom we follow.
God is the one we must imitate and model our lives to. We should pattern our lives in according to His word.
Today, He instructs us to live in love, following the example of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ who gave His life for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.
Apostle Paul directs us again to shun all sin and uncleanness, and allow ourselves not be deceived by the preachers who tell people today that they can do anything and live anyhow since Christ has justified us and made us saints.
Paul warns us that God will still punish all disobedience. So, we must be careful then life we live. He encouraged us to shine as light in the world, making wise use of time, and speaking to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
Oh brethren, we have all it takes to live a glorious life. God has blessed us enormously with His Holy Spirit. Arise and Shine!
