Bread of Life Voice

1 Cor 6:18‭-‬20

“Run away from sexual immorality [in any form, whether thought or behavior, whether visual or written]. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]?

You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body” (AMP).

Meditation

When we were baptised, we died with Jesus, and when we were raised from the waters of baptism, we were raised to a new life with Jesus Christ.

Jesus purchased us with His precious blood and sanctified our bodies by sending the Holy Spirit to live in them.

We are now God’s property. We cannot live any way as we like. Rather, from henceforth, we should strive to be like Jesus, pleasing the Lord in all things.

As Scripture said ‘we should honour God with our bodies.’ The Spirit who lives in us is the Spirit of holiness.

Prayers

+ Jesus, give me the grace to overcome sin in my body. I surrender my life to you.
+ Holy Spirit, teach me the truth about life and of the kingdom of God. Amen.
