Flourishing means growing rapidly and thriving successfully (Gen. 28:17). No one can experience open heaven unless attached to God (Ps. 92:12-14). The righteous flourish because they are planted in the house of God where his Holy Spirit dwells.

Must one flourish in the house of God?
Jn 10:10 – Yes, because it is God’s will for man to flourish. Jn 1:12 – Since we believe in Him, hence, we are son’s of God and therefore should and must flourish.

Can one flourish outside the presence of God?
Jn 15:5 – Outside God’s presence, we can’t flourish. If we must flourish, then, we should remain in his presence.

What must I do to continue to flourish in God’s house?
1) you must seek knowledge (Hosea 4:1-6, Acts 17:11). Open heaven is not all about acquiring material possessions. Flourishing in the house of God means doing that which we are called to do. And this is what we are called to do; (Micah 6:8);
-To be just.
-To show Mercy.
-To walk humbly before God.

It is in keeping the word of God that we Flourish.
Joseph as a case study, he flourished in all he did. Joseph remained steadfast to his faith in God and God continued to flourish him. You must study to show yourself approved.

2) You must have faith.
Without faith, no eyes shall see the Lord.

3)Be humble.(James 4:6-8)

What can stop us from flourishing in God’s house?
– Sexual Immorality
– Fear

In the face of the storms of life, the word of God says; “Do not be afraid, be still and know that I am God.”

– Lack of personal Moral principle. Don’t subject the discussion of sin into thinking. Set out principles for yourself and never change it or compromise it.

Conclusion:
Acquisition of material things is not a true sign of experiencing open heaven. A man’s life does not consist in the material things he has, but it is in doing God’s will.

Jeremiah 29:11- God promised us a good future and Hope, and only him knows the plan he has for us.
