Now You Have Received The Holy Spirit.

We have received the Holy Spirit of God, who has come to live and walk with us. The next step is to prepare our lives so that He remains alive and active in us.
First, Sin must no longer rule in our mortal bodies. We should not follow the desires of our natural selves nor surrender any part of our bodies as instrument for sin. Instead, we must submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit who is all holy and is able lead us in the path of righteousness (Rom. 6:12-13).
We must learn to pray. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father. He is most revived when we pray and worship God. In Romans 8 verse 26, the scripture says that the Holy Spirit makes intercession for the Saints. Therefore, we must be constant in prayer.
Our bodies, the scripture says, is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We must be conscious of this truth and ensure that our lives are devoted to serving God and doing those things that give Him pleasure. Also, we should put to good use all the gifts which God has given us through His Spirit.
Finally, we must live in love with one another. Holy Spirit is the of love, therefore we must learn to love without grumbling or complaining.
Come Holy Spirit and fill the hearts of the faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Amen.
