Introduction:
sometimes the desire to do God’s will may be in your spirit but the flesh will not allow, which may eventually lead you to habitual sin.
HABITUAL SIN:is when one commits a type of sin so often that it becomes a habit and a lifestyle.
ANOTHER NAME FOR HABITUAL SIN IS SECRET SIN:It is sin you commit that is known by only you, Satan and God
We are called Christians, which simply means total imitation of Christ. Even Christ underwent the same temptation as us and didn’t give in. As Christian, we shouldn’t give in to temptation
EFFECTS OF HABITUAL SIN
1. You become a slave to the devil, making it difficult to have access to God’s inheritance . THIS IS THE REASON WHY SOME PRAYERS ARE UNANSWERED. Resulting to lack of victory and dominion.
2, YOU’RE LIKELY GOING TO END UP IN HELL IF YOU LIVE IN HABITUAL SIN.
Nothing unclean can enter God’s kingdom. If you continue in habitual sin, you can’t enter God’s kingdom and that’s why Christ came and died that we may access God’s kingdom.
KEYS TO FREEDOM FROM SIN
i. You must be born again
ii. You must let the word of God dwell in you richly.
Begin to delete those wicked thought in you and fill your mind with the word of God

i Through covenant
ii Through ignorance
III Through disobedience
YOU MUST WALK IN THE SPIRIT
It is the submission to the voice of the spirit of God in your heart, that will guide you to overcome habitual sin
AVOID EVERY OCCASION OF SIN:
Deny yourself some unnecessary functions or things e.g clubbing
Do not neglect the gathering of brethren
Do not love the world
