Bread of Life Voice

Deut 5:33 – Walk in Obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the Land that you will posses.

Obedience to God means willingness to comply to the Lord’s commands, leadings, orders and instructions. The Lord delights in those who follow and obey his orders to the extent that there is always a reward for obedience. For every command of the Lord a Christian obeys, there is a promise attached.

But disobedience brings punishment, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they received punishments for their sins which brought about them being chased out of the garden of Eden. When we disobey the leadings of the Holy spirit, the Holy Spirit is grieved.

If we follow the Lord’s statutes and precepts, we are sure to be successful in all that we do, and our days increased. Obedience to God bring automatic long life and prosperity, so if you want to live long, obey God. It is clearly stated in his word.

Eph 6:1-3 says, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother-which is the first commandment with a promise – so that it may go well with you that you may enjoy long life on earth.

Obedience to man is obedience to God, just like saint Paul says, ‘imitate me just as i imitate Christ’. The Lord commands us to be obedient to our parents, mentors, spiritual leaders, and those in authority. Obedience is better than sacrifice, obedience has an end product, obedience sometimes comes with pain and endurance, it is a transition period, nobody likes transition period because it comes with pain. Obedience to God might not be suiting at the moment, but it surely comes with glorification.

If things are not going the way you want, check if you are in obedience to the God’s orders, check if you have made a covenant and failed on your part. Put yourself in order and comply with the Lord’s authourity and you shall prosper. Ask for the grace to be obedient from today henceforth.
