Welcome Address of Bro Sebastine Nwabueze, the Chairman Awka Diocesan CCRN for 2019 21 Days Prayer of Divine Encounter.
Peace of the Lord be with you all.
On behalf of the Diocesan Executive Council, I whole heartedly welcome all of you participating in this New Year Spiritual exercise holding at 33 centers in the Diocese from 14 Jan to 3rd Feb, 2019, with the theme: Until Christ Is Formed In You.
The text is taken from Gal. 4:19, which says, “My dear children for whom I am again in pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.” This text has already revealed what is in the mind of God concerning his people as that is God’s Purpose for creating mankind.
Gen. 1:27 further confirms this: “So God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God created them; male and female he created them.” Christ being formed in you means carrying the image of God in your human person (Gal. 2:20)
As a child of God, it is very important to know whose image you bear, for if you do not know now, devil may one day dictate for you.
Whose Image Are You?
See what Matthew 22:17-21 is saying, “Tell us, then, what your opinion. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? But Jesus, knowing their evil interest, said, ” You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s’, they replied. Then he said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s’. When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away.”
Here is the message: Jesus in hid wisdom asked them to produce the money, and whrn they did, he focused on the image on it and asked them whose image it was. “It was Caesar’s image,’ they answered immediately. That answer decided the matter, for he asked them to give to Caesar what belonged to him.
This means they should pay taxes because Caesar’s image was on the money used for the tax. Do you know the spiritual implication of this? We understand that the issue of using image to determine who owns the money is also what is likely to apply to man in the end. Our final destination would be determined by whose image we bear.
You should therefore note that, whoever has hid image on any man, the person or the god becomes the owner of that man. If Satan has his image on a person, then Satan id the owner of that person. And if God’s image, then the person belongs to God. Therefore, It is the image we bear that would decide where we go. It is whose image that we bear that will determine to whom we belong, to God or to the devil.
If at His appearing, you gave not conformed to God’s image, you will lose heaven. The bible says, ” The fearful and the unbelieving and the abominable and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Rev. 21:8)
Such people will not be allowed to enter into the heavenly Jerusalem no matter how they claim to have been born again. The Lord said that some would come to him on that day and would say in His name they performed many miracles and cast out demons. But Jesus will say unto them, “I never know you, depart from me, you that work iniquity” (Matt. 7:23).
You must be conformed to the image of the Son of God that is God’s standard and goal for every believer.
Read the rest of the message through the 21 Days Prayer Book Manual. Thank you.
