WALKING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
(Ephesians 5:25)
Walking with the Holy Spirit means a non stop operation with the Holy Spirit. It’s a movement that requires somebody no longer asking for gifts but asking that the Holy Spirit should occupy his life. A situation we no longer ask before power is given but demonstrate it at will.
Dimensions of walking with the Holy Spirit
*1. Support Dimension:* someone who is tired can never walk without an aid. Jesus said to Peter a time will come when you won’t be able to go anywhere you wish, but someone will lead you. This people tend to be temporal in the ministry. Along the way, they cut off their walking with the Holy Spirit.
*2. Escort or partner dimension:* This people don’t go far in the ministry because they were escorted. When they get to a point, they were tired. This people needs someone to motivate them before their fires are ignited.
*3. Integral Dimensions:* This people have established a strong bond with the Holy Spirit to the point that everything about them is led by the Spirit. Holy Spirit is the pilot of their lives. They go far in the ministry and ended in the Holy Ghost.
*How do we become the carriers of the Holy Spirit?*
1. Acknowledge your emptiness
2. Throw away any hindrance (Hebrew 12:1-2, Gal. 5:19)
3. Ask the Holy Spirit for his indwelling (Luke 11:8, Matt. 7:7)
4. Sowing in the Spirit (Gal. 6:8)
5. Total Surrender (Rom. 12:1-2)
6. Praying in the Spirit (Rom. 6:26-28)
7. Obedience to prompting of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:14)
*Benefits of Walking with the Holy Spirit*
1. Knowledge of the fatherhood of God (Mat. 22:43, Rom. 8:15-17)
2. It takes away every gratification of the flesh (Gal 5:16)
3. Continuous manifestation of the Spirit
4. We become like God (Acts 2:7)
As the pentecost has ended, we pray the Lord to be using all of us through Christ our Lord, Amen!
