YOUR LABOUR OF LOVE FOR GOD, AND FAITH IN HIM IS NOT WITHOUT FRUITS (1Thess 1:6, 1Corinth 15:58)

1Thess 6:1- Remembering without ceasing, your work of faith, and Labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Sight of God our Father.
The Bible encourages us that God is not unjust to forget the work we did, the love we have shown for his name, and the services we have rendered and are still rendering to the people of God. Do not get tired of your works in the house of the Lord, through works of evangelism, intercessions, almsgiving e.t.c, we should be steadfast and continue to the end.
St Paul saw an opportunity in every town he visited, no matter the opposition, he always wanted to work for the Lord, he was always alert for opportunities and was ready to stand firm in the faith he profess, no matter the intimidation, he always took courage in the Lord. We are encouraged to continue with this same zeal exhibited by St Paul for reaching what we have hoped for, which is the promises of God to us in Christ Jesus. We should not grow lazy, rather we imitate those who by their patience and faith inherited the promise of God.
The Bible recorded that God made a promise to Abraham ‘I shall bless you and give you many descendants’. God made this promise even when Abraham had no child. God swore by himself, he made an oath to do what he promised, and with patience and faith, Abraham obtained this promise.
Therefore, there are two certainties in which it is impossible for God to be proved false which are ‘PROMISE’ and ‘OATH”. God committed himself with an oath in order to convince those who are to wait for his promise and to encourage us strongly that he would never change his mind.
Let us therefore be careful to wait patiently in God, committed to his works, reminding him of his promises and not wait patiently outside Christ, because that would be in vain.
1Corinth 15:58- Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know, that your Labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Let us be encouraged by these words, that there is a reward attached to Labouring in Love and not by force for God and his household, whether in heaven or here on earth. Our works shall produce fruits..Amen.
