No Storm Surprises Jesus

Storm, literally, is a violent disturbance of the atmosphere with strong wind and usually with rain, thunder, lightning, or snow.

The appearance of storm terrifies any person who’s on the land. The case is even worse for those in the air or on the sea.

Jesus Christ and His disciples had a first-hand encounter with this monster called storm (cf. Mark 4:35-41). Indeed, the reaction of His disciples and the action of Jesus have a lot to teach us:

1. Storm exposes ourselves to us:

It shows us our real selves. If we have faith, it’ll be obvious; doubter, our actions will tell it out. Storm hides nothing from us!

2. God is in control of Life:

Don’t take the place of God. Your role is to trust God who controls everything.

3. Storm is not necessarily a product of sin:

Obedience to Jesus Christ can bring storm in one’s life. So, don’t see every storm as a punishment for sin.

4. No storm surprises Jesus:

No storm is bigger than Him. Therefore call Jesus Christ to act. Don’t get stressed up and afraid.

Rather ensure you have good relationship with God. Exercise your faith in Him. With the name of Jesus Christ, rebuke the wind and calm the sea.

Match victorious against every storm! Remember you are than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us. Thank you.
