Resist the god of this World

2 Cor 4:3-5
“For if the gospel we preach is hidden, it is hidden only from those who are being lost.
They do not believe, because their minds have been kept in the dark by the evil god of this world. He keeps them from seeing the light shining on them, the light that comes from the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
For it is not ourselves that we preach; we preach Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake” (GNB).
Meditation
Consider those times the desire to sin clung to your body; when you were led with strong desire to commit one sin or another. Often it felt your next joy depended on the satisfaction such evil work will bring.
That is the evil power of Satan at work. Satan wants to blind your mind so you will not experience the growing joy that comes from following Jesus Christ consistently.
But you can overcome this satanic trick. How? First, by renewing your mind daily with the Word of God. Second, by seeking the grace of God at all times.
You must stand in this God’s word and grace and resist every devices of evil one. You are born to win. You are born to shine.
The glorious light of Jesus Christ shines on you continually. May nothing withstand this light from radiating in and through you. Amen.
Prayers
+ Jesus Christ, my light, continually shine on me.
+ Give me the strength to withstand all sin and to shine in all aspects of life. Amen.
