Theme: The Need To Abide In God

Text: John 15:3-6

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

Reflection:

We are the branch of God and God is our gardener. Being the branch is having intimacy with God through the Holy Spirit.

This means that we align our desires and action to the will of the Father.

The Holy Spirit will speak to our hearts the desires of God for us and calm any fear in us as our comforter and a teacher.

Communing with the Holy Spirit cause us to move deeper into righteousness and holiness for a greater intimacy.

Action:

1. Begin to spend at least 1 hour time with God in prayers and mediation in His word every day.

2. Start your midnight prayers.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for being my Father. Help me to abide in you always. Amen.
